Bloom where you’re planted. – Someone out there…
Bravery is…
Bravery isn’t doing something because you’re not afraid. It’s doing something even though you’re afraid. – Somebody out there… 🙂
To Fear or Not To Fear
“Do not fear.”
What does that exactly mean?
Do not feel fear? Well, we all know that’s impossible.
So, what does it mean?
It means do not be afraid.
…
‘Wait, isn’t that the same thing?’
Nope!
You may feel afraid but that doesn’t mean you have to be afraid.
Easier said than done, yes. But still possible.
You can feel fear but choose not act on it. That’s what courage is.
It’s not that cold, impenetrable steel that is sometimes mistaken for courage.
Courage is feeling scared but taking a step forward anyway.
But don’t do anything foolish. Like walk out into the middle of a street with moving cars.
That is not a good idea.
So, afraid of going to the dentist? Have courage.
Afraid of taking that test? Have courage.
Afraid of that surgery? Have courage.
Do not fear.
Your “Who” is not your “Do”
…You are not your performance; your “who” and your “do” are separate. – Joyce Meyer
Genes don’t have the final say, you do
Genes do not cause behavior; yes, they might give us certain tendencies to behave one way or another, but they do not have the final say. – Dr. Caroline Leaf
Your mind
“Don’t let your mind get in the way; you can do whatever you decide to do.” – A coach somewhere out there
